Maclean Manta Rays enjoy further splashes of success

26 swimmers from the Clarence Valley represented the Maclean Manta Rays Swimming Club at the Keith Midgley Memorial Development Carnival, held at the recently renovated Casino Memorial Olympic Pool on October 28.

Swimming Coach Ruth Everuss revealed competitors recorded outstanding times in the pool, recording a total of 80 placings throughout the event.

She said the heated 50m pool was also “very comforting” for participants, who set several new personal bests during the day.

The Maclean Manta Rays will host a Div 2 and qualifying swimming meeting on November 11 at the Maclean Olympic Pool, with many up-and-coming swimmers from across the Northern Rivers expected to compete.
