At the May meeting, a variety of 73 beauties were benched, to admire and assess.

Both Judges’ Choice Orchid and Popular Vote winner Renanopsis Lion’s Splendor ‘Regal Red,’ Terry & Penny Bird. Both Judges’ Choice Flower and Popular Vote winner, RSL Rose, another red beauty, Narelle Francis.

Q&A time was appreciated, and the topic – to learn how to care for plants.

Next meeting is on Saturday June 19, at the Presbyterian Church Hall, Church Street, Maclean. President Terry is to give a presentation on Cymbidiums, the king of orchids.

Due to restrictions being eased, there is no need for members to pre-register. Plants are benched by 1pm for the judging, then at 1.30pm the meeting begins. Lucky door and raffle prizes are included, plus afternoon tea.
