The Clarence Valley Independent has received reports of about 50 cars or residences being broken into at Maclean this year.

Member for Clarence, Richie Williamson recently met with police after concerned residents raised the issue of crime in the town.

The CV Independent is arranging to speak to the new Coffs Clarence Police District Inspector assigned to the Lower Clarence, Sally Scott, about crime in Maclean and other issues.
