IT’S showtime!

Excitement is building and preparations are being finalised for what promises to be one of the best Maclean Shows in the event’s 130-year history next week.

With a stellar line up of entertainment and attractions including Old Macdonald’s Farm animal nursery, the Reptile World venomous snake show, Harness racing, the FMX KAOS Motocross show, Laser skirmish, a performance of the Man from Snowy River, and a Monster Fireworks demonstration, then onto the ever-popular demolition derby, Maclean Showground will be the place to be.

The FMX KAOS motocross performance riders have performed with the Nitro circus. Jaden South & Scott Fitzgerald will be signing autographs after their 2 shows.

Maclean Show Society President Brian Ferrie said the 130th Annual Maclean Show will be held on Tuesday 25th and Wednesday 26th April 2023.

“I take this opportunity to thank and congratulate the Committee and members of the Maclean Show Society for their continued commitment in maintaining the high standard set by previous committee members,” Mr Ferrie said.

“Visitors and competitors are very welcome and given fine weather I am sure we will all be witness to some excellent displays and competitions including Flower displays and Floral art, Photography, Arts and Crafts, Special schools display, Home and farm produce, Sugar Cane, Poultry, Trade displays and of course the Cattle and Horse events are a must.

“A special thank you must go to all business houses and certain individuals for their generous sponsorship and donations and a mighty thank you to the wonderful volunteers, all of whom contribute to a successful show.”

Mr Ferrie congratulated all women competing in the junior and senior 2023 Maclean Show Young Woman of the Year competition, run by the Royal Agricultural Society of NSW, where the winners will go onto a district final for a chance to represent at the 2024 Sydney Royal Easter Show.

People interested in becoming members of the Maclean Show Society can join for an annual $30 fee, which entitles two adults and three school age children admission to the show on both days.

Membership to the Maclean Show Society also allows members to attend all special meetings and the annual general meeting to vote on matters concerning the Society.

General admission charges of $10 per adult and $5 per child or concession card holder will apply on both days, while a $40 family pass will be available on Wednesday.
