Happy Paws Haven animals in need of a home

Bonnie was a reluctant surrender, she was just over a year old when she arrived in January 2015. She had been a lovely family pet but due to unforeseen circumstances, the family just could not keep her any more. Bonnie is a quiet, affectionate loving cat ready to be someone’s companion. She will come up to meet you or wait for you to visit her while she suns herself on the window ledge. She has been regularly wormed, de-flead, micro-chipped, de-sexed and immunised.     . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .  Henry is the son of Helsa who had her first litter at Townsend. Not long after Helsa arrived with the four older kittens, we discovered she was pregnant again. She was too far along to do anything so in April 2016, a new litter arrived here at Happy Paws of which Henry is one of seven born. A number of those young cats have found homes already. Those who are left have become the extended H team and are also beautiful, naughty, playful mischievous affectionate young teenage cats ready to go to lovely new homes. They have been immunised, desexed and micro-chipped. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .  Morrisa was a young kitten when Miss Molly took her under her wing early last year. She was found beside the road and bought to Happy Paws Haven. She was about the same age as Miss Molly’s kittens and has grown up to be beautiful affectionate mischievous young cat with Miss Molly’s two beautiful babies, both of which found lovely homes. Morrisa is an unusual colour, being beautiful blue salmon tortishell. She has been desexed, micro-chipped, immunised and regularly wormed! . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .  Bennie & Bonnie would love a home together. Bennie is approximately 6 years old and has had two homes prior to foster care. Bonnie is approximately 4 years of age and has been living with Bennie since she was a wee pup. Purchased in Queensland from a chicken farm, and having been raised near poultry, they have not set a foot wrong with chickens and ducks at their foster home. In true Maremma fashion these guys need a breed experienced family. They take time to warm up to new people. Bennie is a sweet snuggler who likes the occasional game of ball – he is the more human-centric of the two. Bonnie is Miss Independent; she likes to investigate. Both dogs are best suited to acreage. They have been in runs next to sheep and cattle, and foster carers have spent time with them walking through the sheep paddocks. Though they appear fine, it is not recommended that they be left alone with sheep at this stage. They will warn of any visitors or nearby neighbours and they particularly seem perturbed by motorbikes. Bonnie and Bennie are partial to music and find it relaxing; jazz, light opera and country music preferred! . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Tiny is a beautiful Roti Shepherd cross who is fine with most other dogs. He came up from Sydney as his owner’s landlord would not let him have him stay at the shop where he lived upstairs. He is good with older kids but might bowl a little one over when playing ball or with one of his toys. He has a great nature but can be possessive of food when another dog hovers around his dish when eating although this has become much better. He is fine with humans as he lets me take his bowl away and give it back without a drama. He loves to play, loves the water especially in our splash pools. He is house trained but is dominant dog when in his own yard so needs an experienced owner with a firm fair but loving hand, like all dogs and children needs consistent rules and boundaries. He is desexed, immunised, heart worm tested and micro-chipped ready for his new home. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .  Jet3 is a beautiful sensitive kelpie cattle dog cross who needs a loving active family to be with who has space for him to play and who will allow him to be a part of the family. It would be lovely if they lived on an acre or more block or even on a property, or the family takes him everywhere with them, camping hiking or to the beach. Maybe they love dog sports such as agility, flyball, tracking, scenting, herding etc. etc. He is looking for something to do or to be a part of. He absolutely loves playing ball, or chase a stick into the water. He is highly intelligent but very loving dog. He has been desexed, immunised, chipped, wormed and de-flead. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
