Grafton hockey player Shanae Crispin is the Grafton Shoppingworld Junior Sportsperson of the Month for April.

Shanae was co-captain of the NSW State team who recently finished third at the Australian Under 15 Girls Hockey Championships held in Darwin between April 15-21.

It’s been a busy couple of months for Shanae. 

From June 8-9 she was part of the victorious North Coast team who won the NSW CHS Open Girls Championships at Kurnell in emphatic fashion.

North Coast scored wins against Western (4-0), Sydney West (9-0), and South Coast (3-2), before defeating Sydney South West 5-0 in the semi-final, and South Coast 3-1 in the final. 

In May she represented Grafton at the NSW Under 18 Girls Division One Championships at Narellan, and from June 16-18, she represented hosts Grafton at the NSW Under 15 Girls Division One Championships.

Last week she attended the NSW All School Under 16 Girls Hockey selection trials in Bathurst.

In other sports, Shanae was also selected to represent the North Coast at the NSW CHS Under 15 Touch Football Championships at Nelson Bay in April.
