Grafton Senior Citizens Christmas luncheon

Grafton Senior Citizens group recently held their annual Christmas luncheon, in the upstairs function room, Grafton Racecourse, with around 60 in attendance. 

The day included 50’s & 60’s musical entertainment by ‘Cruisin’ Broadway’, and delicious 2-course Christmas meal of two meats and five vegetables, along with dessert of trifle or fruit salad.

Also included was the presentation of ‘Senior of Year’ award to Betty & Charlie Doggett, and special awards to Alwyn Campbell & Gloria Watters. 

Six grocery hamper prizes were drawn during function, with winners: H. Cashel; S. Johnson (racecourse staff); F. Wratten; G. Hunter-Blanch; J. Hawken; M. Sales.

Special thanks to all for their support and attendance, to donors of groceries for hamper prizes, committee for all the work arranging the function, racecourse staff for their assistance, kitchen staff for the lovely meal, and entertainers for great music. 

Christmas wishes were extended to all. Regular activities will continue to December 16, then a four week break to mid January.
