The November Muster at Yamba Country not only bought ‘Suburban Country’ back together again as guest artists, beautifully backed by Paul Agar on pedal steel, Mitch McLennen lead guitar and Wazza on drums, but also ended a ten years absence from our gathering of Bobby Mcleay and cousin Elston, who joined Kerri Mcleay on stage. Throw in Chris Legg , who after having been a regular attendee at our musters for some time, made the transition to performer status. Well done Chris and welcome to our ranks. Regulars Max Maher , Kyogle’s Dianna Alvos, Bill Venn, Roy Boy and Noel Charles all contributed to a wonderful day of entertainment.
No doubt the continuing fire problems did not assist our audience numbers, but for those who were there, Wow! what a day.
This coming Sunday December 8, all stops will again be out. Music starts at noon and will go thru until 4pm, at which time ticket sales for the major club Christmas raffles will commence.
Ballina’s Glenn Massey will be our featured artist. Glenn has only recently returned to Ballina after a number of years following the Sydney and national tour circuit, backing and performing with some of the biggest names in the music industry. Yamba will be the winners as we experience Glenn’s talent, a talent fostered as a child travelling with his parents where dad was a foundation member of the late Jimmy Little’s Band. Hopefully there will be no smoke around… so come on down for some great entertainment.
