Exciting Prince Street event set to showcase Grafton’s best

The Grafton Chamber of Commerce is excited to be hosting the upcoming Prince Street Marketta, in collaboration with the Grafton Jacaranda Festival and the Clarence Valley Council.

The event will be a celebration of the local business community, a chance to enjoy local food and drink, whilst enjoying local entertainment. It is the latest free community event and is one that we are really excited about.

The Marketta will see Prince Street between the Clocktower and Fitzroy Street turned into an open-air entertainment venue, complete with stage and professional sound and lighting. We are delighted to be presenting talented local artists such as the Ryan Martin Trio, Uncle Ken Gordon, Lennox Monaghan, Garimaa Ngahri, Eli Fahey, and Hats Off. There should be something to please most music enthusiasts in the range of artists we are showcasing, plus we also have talented local groups like the Grafton District Services Club Pipe Band and dancers from Ashley Albert Performing Arts performing in the breaks whilst the acts on stage are changing from one artist to next, meaning that we don’t have any lulls in the entertainment line-up.

We are encouraging businesses in the area to open during the Marketta, and many of the restaurants and cafes are going to be selling “street food” which can be enjoyed whilst taking in the performances. We have some fantastic places to eat in Grafton, and this is a great opportunity to support them whilst enjoying the live music and spending time with friends and family in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. There is going to be some delicious food available, and it’s going to be well worth the trip into town to get the chance to taste what’s on offer.
