Doors open once again at Schaeffer House

Following renovations and repairs, Schaeffer House is looking fresh after weeks of hard work spent rearranging furniture, cleaning, and restoring the cabinets that hold so much local history for public display.

Volunteers are also preparing the next display for the 2023 Grafton Jacaranda Festival towards the end of October.

The gardens have also been attended to so that Schaeffer House can present a beautiful floral display for all visitors.

Volunteers at Schaeffer House also wish to thank Clarence Valley Council (CVC) staff for making repairs to the building so the Clarence River Historical Society and Museum can continue to protect and conserve their great collection.

Locals and tourists are warmly invited to visit to see why so many say, “it’s one of the best we have seen.”

Scaheffer House is located at 190 Fitzroy Street, Grafton, and is open between 1-4pm on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Sunday.
