Christmas celebrations for the Clarence Valley this year will kick off at Woombah – with their first Community Christmas Carols after a four-year break due to fires and Covid.
Woombah is a quiet little village set amongst the trees on the road to Iluka. The Carols will be held on Friday, December 2 from 5.30pm in the Woombah Park beside the Fires Station, and will showcase a variety of performances from solo and group singers, to dance items, as well as community carol singing.
Connie de Dassel and Sr Anne Gallagher have arranged a great program, with music provided by the Maclean Music Ensemble. And children will be happy to hear that the Woombah Fire Brigade have been in touch with Santa!
Bring your picnic rug or camping chairs and enjoy the delicious BBQ offerings, and coffee and icecream vans will be there this year too. Everyone is invited to come along and celebrate the beginning of the Christmas season under the trees at Woombah.
