Chatsworth Island CWA

Last Friday our annual cent auction went off with a bang. The theme for the day was black and gold and many of the ladies dressed up for the event. We had three best dressed ladies on the day judged from the floor. This is a year long process of making prizes for the day by members and friends which is clearly enjoyed by many who come every year; thank you.

Proceeds for the day will go to the Maclean Hospital Auxiliary, Westpac Helicopter, drought relief and CWA.

Unfortunately late cancellations and people not coming on the day left many seats empty which was unfortunate as there were other people who had been turned down due to hall capacity.

Next month for craft we will be making Click Clack bags; you will need to bring along material strips wadding and lining for the bag and a sewing machine if you have one. This starts at 1pm and is open to all interested persons. We would love to see you there at the Chatsworth Island hall; cost if $2.

Next meeting is on August 7 at the hall at 9.30 for a cuppa, followed by the meeting then a shared lunch before our craft. Ladies you are most welcome to come along.
