Changed traffic conditions for the Woolgoolga to Ballina upgrade

Motorists are advised of changed traffic conditions on the Pacific Highway and local roads from Monday 25 to Sunday 31 October for the Woolgoolga to Ballina upgrade, weather permitting.

There will be no roadwork on the Pacific Highway between Kew and the Queensland border from 6am Friday 29 October to 6am Monday 1 November due to the potential for NSW Government COVID travel restrictions being eased. Emergency maintenance and safety repair work will be carried out as required.

From Monday, there will be up to four days of work on the Pacific Highway between the Yamba interchange and Maclean to carry out survey monitoring and pavement maintenance. Motorists can expect lane closures and traffic control at times between 6am and 6pm.

From Tuesday, there will be up to two days of work on the Pacific Highway between Broadwater and Devils Pulpit to install traffic counters. Motorists can expect lane closures and traffic control at times between 7am and 5pm.

Also from Tuesday, there will be up to three days of work of the Pacific Highway between New Italy and Devils Pulpit to install signage and carry out drainage work. Motorists can expect lane closures and traffic control at times between 6am and 6pm.

Additional changes to local roads

From Monday, there will be up to five days of work on Hillside Lane at Wardell, Broadwater Evans Head Road at Broadwater, the Woodburn interchange overpass bridge at Woodburn and Whites Road at New Italy to install guideposts and signage. Motorists can expect shoulder closures and mobile traffic control at times between 6am and 6pm.

Also from Monday, there will be up to five days of work on Tuckombil Road, north of the Woodburn interchange, to transport machinery and carry out private access work. Motorists can expect lane and shoulder closures and traffic control at times between 6am and 6pm.

Further south from Monday, there will be up to three days of work on the roundabouts at the Maclean interchange to carry out survey monitoring. Motorists can expect traffic control and short stoppages at times between 6am and 6pm.

There will be up to five days of work on Old Six Mile Lane at Glenugie, Mitchell and Firth Heinz roads at Pillar Valley and Bondi Hill Road at Tyndale to install guideposts and signage from Monday. Motorists can expect shoulder closures and mobile traffic control at times between 6am and 6pm.

From Tuesday, there will be up to two days of work on Blackwall Drive and Broadwater Evans Head Road at Broadwater and Woodburn Evans Head Road and the former Pacific Highway at Woodburn to install traffic counters. Motorists can expect lane closures and traffic control at times between 7am and 5pm.

Also from Tuesday, there will be one day of work on the local road connecting Broadwater and Woodburn and Nardi Road at New Italy for asphalt sealing. Motorists can expect lane closures, traffic control and short stoppages at times between 6am and 6pm and reduced speed limits at times between 6pm and 6am.

From Wednesday, there will be one day of work on Broadwater Evans Head Road, Broadwater, and the local road connecting Broadwater and Woodburn to remove line marking. Motorists can expect lane closures, traffic control and short stoppages at times between 6am and 6pm.

Also from Wednesday, there will be one day of work Tuckombil Road, north of the Woodburn interchange for asphalt sealing. Motorists can expect lane closures, traffic control and short stoppages at times between 6am and 6pm and reduced speed limits at times between 6pm and 6am.

Further south from Wednesday, there will be up to three days of work on Jubilee Street, Maclean to carry out pavement testing. Motorists can expect lane closures, traffic control, a reduced speed limit and short stoppages at times between 6am and 6pm.

There will be one day of work on the southbound on ramp at the Glenugie south interchange to facilitate access to site on Wednesday. Motorists can expect lane closures, traffic control, a reduced speed limit and short stoppages at times between 6am and 6pm.

From Thursday, there will be up to two days of work on Glencoe Road at Tabbimoble to carry out finishing work. Motorists can expect shoulder closures, traffic control and short stoppages at times between 6am and 6pm.
