Lynne Mowbray |
Yamba Bowling Club Caterers are serving up a bit of Aussie support for our battling farmers, by holding a ‘Parma for a Farmer’, on Monday August 27.
The Bowling Club caterers will be working with the Australian Red Cross ‘Help the Aussie Farmer’s Appeal’ and will donate $20 for every Yamba Parmagiana sold on the night.
Club caterer Craig said that it was their aim is to sell 100 Parma’s to generate $2000 to the appeal.
“We decided that we had to do whatever we could, to help our farmers,” Craig said.“If we don’t help them out we’re all going to have to pay bigger prices for everything.
“Entertainment on the night will be provided by The Family Tree and there will be raffles, a sporting memorabilia auction, a surf board, gift baskets and Harry’s Board (100 Club).
“We’re encouraging everyone to dress up in their best R M Williams or farmers gear (no shearing T-Shirts or gumboots allowed).
“It will be great to see everyone all dressed up in their jeans and checked shirts and there will be prizes for the two best dressed farmers.
“It’s going to be a huge night and we’re hoping that we can raise heaps for our farmers,” he said.
So bring your wallets and loose change and get along to the Bowlo Sports and Leisure Yamba on Monday August 27 from 5.30pm and enjoy a night of fun and laughter.
