This month we played back at the Coutts Crossing course.

The day was overcast and cool, which one of our players remarked was “the perfect weather for golf”. A remark he soon regretted as a steady light rain began to fall.

Young Charlie Quelch joined us for the game, enjoying a day of “big hits” with mum and dad. Another worthy mention for the day was Josh, who wasn’t content just to hit the wrong fairway with his drive but felt the need to cross a public road to do so. Also, a warm welcome to Derelle, who had her first hit with us. Hope to see you more in the future. 

Results

Winner, after a short absence, was Donna West; second place went to new member Peter Stroud; third went to Heather Purtill.

The nearest to pins went to Heather Purtill on the 4th, and Revee West on the 9th.

After spending the last month with yours truly, Brad was looking forward to moving camp. So, for the next month he will be making his nest at the Quelch residence, with Isaiah as his guardian. Hopefully, Charlie and the dogs will keep him entertained.

Next month’s game will be the 1st Round of the Club Championships up at the big course. Tee off at 9am on Sunday 28. Hope to see you there.
