North Coast Football teams progress to next round of the Australia Cup

THREE North Coast Football teams have progressed to the next round of the Australia Cup.

Coffs Coast Tigers, Northern Storm, and Woolgoolga United all won their opening matches of the annual national knockout competition.

The Coffs Coast Tigers got the job done in Armidale with a 3-0 win against the Demon Knights.

The Northern Storm progressed with a penalty shootout win against the Westlawn Tigers, after the score finished at 1-1 at full-time in their all-North Coast Football clash at Junction Hill.
Woolgoolga United also made it to the third round with a 2-1 win away from home against Inverell.

The Coffs Coast Tigers, Northern Storm, and Woolgoolga United play their next matches on Sunday, March 5.

It was the end of the road for six North Coast Football teams, with Bellingen, Coffs City United Lions, Maclean, Sawtell, Urunga, and Westlawn Tigers all bowing out at the opening stage.
