A busy weekend in Maclean

This Friday night in Maclean promises to be a fun affair with late night shopping from 5pm until 8pm, allowing those busy mums and dads to get some Christmas gifts or something special that you have been eyeing for some time.

During the evening, the shops will be handing out free raffle tickets to all customers purchasing goods, this raffle will be drawn at 7:45pm, with first prize of $400, second $200, and third $100.

Maclean Lions will be once again having their famous sausage sizzle outside Skye Coffee Lounge. Father Christmas (with an Australian touch) will be there riding on his ‘sleigh’ handing goodies to the children, as well as having his picture taken with anyone with a smile, he won’t even mind if you want a picture of with you and your fur baby.

Please come down and support our local retailers, as there will be plenty to see and do for young and old.

The monthly community market will be held at the Maclean carpark, as usual, on Saturday morning December 11. Lions have decided to have a site free day for all the loyal stall holders as a thank you for supporting us during all the difficult Covid times. If there is anyone who wants to try out having a stall at the market, you are more that welcome to come down on Saturday, approach one of the Lions, (you can’t miss them – they will be wearing their traditional yellow and purple Lion’s shirts) and they will be able to direct you to as to where to put up your gazebo. There will also be an opportunity for up to seven car boot sellers to try and move some unwanted treasures. Weather permitting, and if the fruit tree man arrives, we’ll have a free attendance raffle of two fruit trees at 10am. Raffle tickets will be available at stall holders and the Lions gazebo.

Follow us on Facebook to keep up to date on any changes.

We do hope to see you on Friday night and on Saturday morning.
