Santa Claus is coming to town!

It’s time to get your glad rags on and let your hair down at our Christmas party on this coming Friday. It will be our last day for the year, so let’s make it a day to remember.

I did not receive one application for my request for Santa; probably for the same reason business owners can’t get staff for hospitality and retail positions! So, I guess we will just have to manage without him this year. However, we do have one or two other surprises which I am certain you will enjoy. And of course, there is our super raffle comprising several large hampers to be won.

Last week’s prize winners were Dorothy who chose the wine. Leanne and Flo who opted for $20 Coles vouchers; and Beryl won the Pick-a-Box prize.

We had 47 attendees last week, which was absolutely fantastic. As you know it was my dream to reach a membership of 50 by this year’s end. Unfortunately, we didn’t quite get there, but I am quietly confident that we will attain that goal early in the new year. If you are seeking to make new friendships, or wishing to volunteer your time, then you might find Osprey is the place to be.

Osprey will reopen on February 4. I will place an editorial in the paper the week prior with all our contact details so you are forewarned, and anyone thinking of joining our happy throng may book in and arrange free transport door to door if required.

Osprey wishes everyone a safe and merry Christmas.
