Kim McKenna with her work

Ferry Park Gallery double Artists of the Month

Ferry Park has 2 members sharing the Artist of the Month exhibition space for October. Kim McKenna has been a member of LCACA for over 10 years with her hand-crafted leatherwork and is joined by newer member Tina Evans, showing her handicrafts.

Kim began her journey into leatherwork in the late 1970s, stamping belts and bags for a local family business. Nowadays, she produces her amazing works out of an old, converted dairy near Ulmarra. Kim makes belts and bags but also creates beautiful picture carvings and bespoke works on request.

Tina Evans with her work

Tina describes herself as a “Jill of all trades, master of nothing. I can spin, knit, crochet, felt, paint, create, recycle, up-cycle, throw nothing way, creative hoarder till the end of my days!” Tina’s works include carved avocado stone pendants, upcycled blanket toys and other bibs and bobs.

Lower Clarence Arts and Crafts Association Inc (LCACA) is a Not-for-Profit community organisation promoting and showcasing artisans of the Clarence Valley. LCACA opened Ferry Park Gallery in 1993 for members to display and sell their work. LCACA welcome new members to join us as an exhibitor or volunteer to work in our gallery. Ferry Park Gallery is on Big River Way, and easily accessed from the Maclean Interchange on the Pacific Motorway. The Gallery is managed by our members and open 7 days from 9am – 4pm.
