Maclean Vets golf

Forty three golfers hit off on Monday April 26 in the 18 hole Stableford. The course is still drying out and we had to play several shortened holes.

The winner with a score of 39 points was Rod Ellis. This could have been a lot better as he had three wipes in that score. It is also Rod’s 3rd win in a pretty short time, so maybe the handicapper needs to step in and do his job. Runner up after a c/b was our captain John Porter who had a well compiled 38 points. He relegated Leigh Barrington (38) and Bill Rorke (38) to 3rd and 4th positions.

Ball winners were Rodney Dee, Nancy Phillips, Mick Rogers and Phil Robinson all with 36 points; Theo Sheppard (35), Rhoda Pedrana (34), and Bob Harvey, Sonia Bonaccorsi and Peter Saunders all with 33.

NTP winners were Cathy Ayres and John Porter on the 2nd, Greg Doolan and Jeannie Doolan on the 7th, Rhoda Pedrana on the 11th and Richard Crawford-Ross on the 17th.

The winner of the previous game was Sonia Bonaccorsi with 40 points. Sonia has been very consistent since joining the Monday Vets; r/up was Helen Graney with 39 and in 3rd spot was Rodney Dee with 36.

Just a reminder that we will be hosting our own Vets open day on Monday May 17 – just a couple of weeks away. Anyone not volunteering to help out on the day can play in the event.
