7 years supporting ‘Flannie Day’

Our beautiful country has problems – domestic violence, a housing crisis and the increasing costs of living. All contributing to vulnerable Australians seeking assistance from charities for the most basic of needs: a safe place to stay and a meal.

In support of ‘Flannie Day’, Clarence Coast Dragon Boat Club recently wore their flannies whilst out on the water, to help raise awareness about homelessness. Members generously donated non-perishable food and personal hygiene products to Wellspring Christian Church Yamba. Amazing people in our local community are doing good work to help vulnerable Aussies.

Following a fabulous workout on the water, and as a thank you, members and their partners enjoyed a sausage sizzle and a chat.

As a club, we are always looking for new members. Come and try – Monday, Wednesday or Saturday. Moby Dick boat ramp 6.30am. Equipment provided.
