Regardless of the occasion, the 24 Grafton Army Cadet Unit regularly volunteer their time to assist members of the local community.

From commemorative services and popular festivals to family events and emergency situations, the countless contributions these young people make and the endless support they offer to those around them were recognised at the 2023 Clarence Valley Citizens of the Year Awards when they were presented with the 2023 Community Achievement Award.

Highly commended and appreciated by many throughout the region, the 24 Grafton Army Cadet Unit always show great strength, determination, and commitment, and are an invaluable resource to the Clarence Valley.

The cadet program is enabled and supported by the Australian Army, and shares the same goals, values and partnerships to mentor and shape the lives of young people.

The 24 Grafton Army Cadet Unit were proudly nominated by Jan Brodie.
