2022 Yamba men’s Classic Pairs winners crowned

The 2022 Yamba Classic Pairs Tournament was run and won over last weekend when a full field of 54 teams took to the greens to battle it out for over $5000 in prize money and the honour of being crowned this year’s winners.

After two days and 5 rounds of very competitive, high-quality bowls it came down to only a couple of shots to determine that the 2022 Classic Pairs winners were local Yamba bowler Peter Retallack & recent Yamba bowler Don Plummer who played outstanding bowls over the weekend to capture the title and the $2000 first prize money.

Second in the event was the highly credentialled pairing of Sam Stefanaras & Indi Conlan (Ballina) whilst rounding out the top three spots were Lance Watson & Matt Masula representing the strong Kingscliff club.

Congratulations to both Peter & Don.

A very special vote of appreciation to all the Yamba club members who so ably volunteered to assist in the staging of the event and made it the success it was.
