Yamba ‘Prawn Stars’ dominate

The annual visit by the Tweed Heads/Coolangatta Travelling Bowlers eventuated on Saturday November 20. A hardy collective group of 78 bowlers took to the greens for an afternoon of incentive-based social triples and to contest the perpetual Tweed/Yamba Challenge Trophy. The Yamba Prawn Stars were determined to deny their northern bowling brethren the opportunity to reclaim the trophy and in the nicest possible fashion the ‘Prawn Stars’ dominated the scoreboards to once again take the trophy and bragging rights. Thank you to all who participated and assisted with the rambunctious occasion.

Nominations for the Handicap Fours Championship have closed and the drawn is on display at the club. Play is programmed for next weekend, November 27-28, with two rounds scheduled for each day.
