Yamba Lions Arts & Craft Fair

Yamba Lions Club had a very busy September and October, conducting the Inaugural Art Show from September 23 to October 7.

This show was extremely successful with over 300 visitors. In turn, the Club donated $1,000 to the Yamba Museum.

At the same time, the Club also cooked pancakes at both BIG 4 and Blue Dolphin Caravan Parks on the Wednesdays and Thursdays of the school holidays, raising much needed funds.

The Club’s merry-go-round was taken to Palmers Island School and as well, members cooked the BBQ for them at their Family Fun Day. The school will benefit from two donations when a presentation takes place.

On weekend of November 5 & 6, the Club will be holding their Annual Arts & Crafts Fair at the Bowlo Sports & Leisure Yamba. The opening times will be 10am to 3pm both days. If anyone would like to book a site, please phone Leonie Saunders on 0401 669 290 or email her at leonie.saunders63@gmail.com.

If anyone is interested in volunteering for our community, please come along to a meeting which is held the 4th Thursday of each month at Yamba Bowling Club 7 for 7.30pm. We are also looking for members of the public who may like to come and be a “Friend of Lions” helping us out at various activities as an extra hand.
