Trenayr fire remains under investigation

Police are continuing to appeal for information from the public following a destructive fire which occurred at Trenayr, north of Grafton, last month.

Around 6pm on November 29, emergency services responded to reports a large blaze had broken out on a rural property.

Upon arrival, they located 30 vehicles well alight within a scrap yard.

Crews from several local fire brigades including Grafton and South Grafton worked tirelessly through the night to contain the fire, which engulfed 1500 vehicles on the property.

A crime scene was later established by officers from the Coffs/Clarence Police District and the blaze is still being treated a suspicious.

As inquiries continue, police would like to speak with four males who were believed to have been travelling in a white dual cab utility on Trenayr Road, Trenayr, around 5:30pm.
