Tartan Brushy RSL Day Club celebrate Mother’s Day

We had a special day remembering the ANZACS. We welcomed Steve Walton.

President of the Maclean R.S.L. Sub-branch who conducted our short service. The laying of wreaths and flowers followed.

Steve presented Neville Blanch with his 15-year service badge, congratulations Neville.

We were then entertained by ‘The Tempomentals’ who once again provided a moving musical tribute to the ANZACS. We all enjoyed singing along.

We were then treated to a delicious lunch.

A visit from the jazz band was greatly enjoyed and there was much dancing and foot tapping.

Reading his Mother’s Day card

Mother’s Day arrived and we had a lovely day sharing it with students from Cowper PS showing us their handmade cards and telling us how much they loved their Mum. They then joined in with the afternoon activity.

Peter Johnson also entertained us… what a lovely day! To top it off, members were given a pair of non-skid socks; how

good was that.

A talk by Jennifer Dowd from the Rescue Helicopter informed members of the great work they do.

There has been a fall in attendance recently due to illness, and sadly we have lost one of our dearly loved members. We hope you are up to date with your shots and wish you all good health during the coming months.
