Yamba received national exposure on Sunday, June 25, when weekend Sunrise weatherman James Tobin filmed live weather crosses from Yamba Main Beach and the towns famous markets at Ford Park.

Yamba River Markets organiser Gary Brisbane said they were contacted by Destination NSW who were interested in featuring local businesses and the markets to promote the region.

Destination NSW contacted Clarence Distillery owner Alison Sloley who suggested Sunrise visit Surf Camp Downunder, The Prawn Shack, local fishing charters, Clarence Distillery and Yamba River Markets to showcase the region to Weekend Sunrise viewers.

James Tobin and his film crew visited food and market stalls at the Yamba River Markets crossing for weather segments while showing Australia some of what Yamba and the markets have to offer.
