Shell service station Yamba break-in

Police are investigating a break-in at the Shell Service Station at Yamba in the early hours of Monday where food, drinks and cash were stolen and are appealing to the public to come forward with any information about the incident.

Residents travelling to work and school on Monday morning were confronted with police tape blocking entrances to the Shell service station on Yamba Road, Yamba, as detectives investigated the site for evidence.

Police said officers attached to Coffs/Clarence Police District were told the service station was broken into, and an amount of food, drinks, and cash were stolen at about 2.30am.

An employee of the Shell service station raised the alarm when they arrived for work and found evidence of a break-in.

“About 6.20am on Monday (26 February 2024), police were called to a service station on Yamba Road, Yamba, following reports of a break and enter,” police said.

“A crime scene has been established and an investigation into the circumstances surrounding this incident has commenced.”
