Raising a cup in the spirit of the Jacaranda Festival

Emma Pritchard

It’s a tea-rrific event during the annual Grafton Jacaranda Festival, and organisers Eleanor See and Cheryl Barnes are once again inviting the community to come along to the Whiddon Jacaranda Afternoon Tea.

A delightful couple of hours of renewed friendships and fun-filled entertainment including raffles, lucky door prizes, a tombola, and guest speakers, the event is one of the highlights on the festival program.

And with more than 100 tickets already sold, Mrs Barnes is encouraging those interested in attending to buy a ticket before they sell out.

1955 Jacaranda Queen Stella Wilson will be amongst the special guests at the event this year.

To purchase a ticket for the Whiddon Jacaranda Afternoon Tea, please visit www.jacarandafestival.com or call into Harveys Jewellers at 54-56 Prince Street, Grafton.

The event will be held at the Clarence River Jockey Club (CRJC) on October 31.

Attendees are kindly asked to arrive at 1pm in preparation for a 1:30pm start.
