Pennant winner to contest Regional playoffs

The two 2021 CRDWBA Pennant winners will travel to Cabarita Bowling Club next week to contest the Region 1 Pennant playoffs.

Representing the District in Grade 3 will be the side from South Grafton, comprising Merle King, Ann Bunn, Heather Nichol, Candy Nixon, Margaret Sales, Margaret Andrew, Enid McKew and Colleen Kane. These ladies performed consistently well throughout the season, and should certainly be a good chance in their grade.

Contesting Grade 4 will be Yamba. Their side is Gloria Davis (Manager), Julie Beaumont, Jane Pearson, Robyn McPherson, Judy Abbott, Sue Lindsay, Jude Pryor, Roz Moore and Joan Scadden. They were the standout team in their grade and are sure to acquit themselves well.

They will be competing against the winners of their grades in the other three districts Tweed-Byron, Northern Rivers and Mid North Coast in a round robin competition over Thursday 29 and Thursday July 30.

Winners will progress to the State Pennant playoffs, currently set down for September 20-23 at Kingscliff.
