Last Tuesday was another day where the course became an extra challenge due to extra water that has not been able to get away since the original flood and has been regularly topped up with consistent rain. Even so we managed to play our Monthly Medal and some of our group also managed great scores (I’m not sure how).
Bruce Douglass returned a splendid nett 33 to win the day and will have his handicap adjusted. Kevin Moran who has been away for some time must have been practising and came in with a nett 34 and Keith Britton had 35.5 to take third place.
NTPs went to Keith Britton on the 10th, Denis Kelly on the 12th and Ray Stevens on the 17th.
Best putter on the day was Steve Dorrell with 12 puts for the nine holes.
Some sad news to relate is that one of our stalwarts Terry Wilson, after some time in hospital has been taken to his daughter’s place in Sydney for a little TLC and from all accounts is unlikely to be back with us for some time.
Hopefully the rain will ease, and our course will return to its normal playing conditions very soon and we can enjoy our golf again.
