Palm Lake golf

Golf is one activity that can continue during the current lockdown and even though there are some restrictions, such as maximum of two in a group and one per cart we had a good roll up for our Stableford round on Tuesday August 17. There were a few found puffing and panting after deciding to walk the nine holes instead of riding in a cart.

As reported last week, when there were some extraordinary scores with only one being negatively affected, we saw another round of 27 points from Chris Sharp, who won the day and will have his handicap substantially reduced for next week. The minor placings went to Ken Hall and Ray Stevens, both returning with 23 and the countback going to Ken.

NTPs saw Bruce Douglass win on the 10th, Bob Oddy on the 12th and Peter Jarman on the 17th.

Even though it is predicted that the lockdown will continue, we still plan to play golf on Tuesdays, unless restrictions are introduced which prohibit our activity. So, if there is anyone out there seeking a game simply be at the course ready for a 7.30am tee time and we’ll fit you into our group.
