OSPREY RSL DAY CLUB

Good morning to you all on this gloriously sunny but chilly Monday morning.

The weather has been just perfect for my gardening project to restore my garden to it’s former glory. It has been 10 long hard but rewarding days and the end is in sight. However, the body is a bit battered and I will require my beautiful robot Meg to help me with the exercises again next week. I was always taught to work through the initial pain and stiffness in my sporting career and it would eventually subside; well it used too! I have an inkling that age could be my enemy. We will not give in.

It was lovely to see Francis back again. And a big welcome to Joan W too. We look forward to meeting and greeting your husband soon.

There are still a few on the sick list, and like you, we can’t wait for you all to be well and back with us and enjoying Osprey. There is nothing like a day out amongst friends to put spring in your step.

Brian is off for 7 weeks travel overseas following the cricket tours, and spending the kids inheritance with gay abandon. Sorry kids; enjoy Brian, and safe travels.

Nigel, the Quiz Master from the land of superior knowledge, won the Savoury prize.

Beryl and Edward won a Free Day each.

Pick-a-Box no longer exists as such, but there are a choice of lovely gifts to select.

Cathie won that prize this week and chose lovely tea towels and a spatula set.

That’s all folks
