Osprey RSL Day Club

A big thank you to everyone for coping so graciously with the required Covid restrictions placed upon us last week.

I know you all love to gather in your familiar groups, but sometimes it is fun to move around a bit and enjoy the company of other members. We will always bring you back to play your games with your regular group if you so desire. I think we may have the same “Covid table layout” for another week or two, so bear with us on that one, please.

We had a new member join us last week which was lovely, but poor Carol had to suffer her mask, cope with newly imposed Covid restrictions and try and fit into our one and a half meter spaced out configuration and adjust to the group. It was a lot to cope with, but I, and several others, have known Carol for many years and know she will adjust and be a valuable happy participant in our club. A big welcome to you Carol.

There were quite a few people absent last week due to Covid restrictions, but we hope to see you all very soon.

The day played out as it usually does with morning tea, exercises (which we curtailed to sitting ones only, so we didn’t have to put masks back on), Bingo, an excellent trivia followed by lunch. After lunch, we played cards and Rummikub until it was time to pack up and head for home. The time goes by so quickly and I have noted your reluctance to end the day, which tells me you really are enjoying what we do.

June won the lucky door prize and chose the wine.

Peg chose a free day at Osprey instead of the $20 Coles voucher, and Eileen chose the $20 voucher. Heather A won the pick-a-box game and won chocolates.

Anyone requiring further information regarding Osprey please phone Leanne on 0413 101 518.
