Osprey RSL Day Club

Thank you to all those people who reminded me that I had forgotten to write my editorial last week. My apologies indeed, but perhaps I can blame it on my granddaughter who is in the process of buying her first home. My goodness, I can’t imagine how distracted I will be when she is having her first baby.

We had a full house again last week and were almost packed to the rafters. Col brought along his daughter Lyn to join the group and I believe she really enjoyed the day. Lyn joined the Uno players and I almost feared for her life. My goodness they are a rowdy jovial bunch who refuse to be divided into two groups. I guess that is what makes it such fun. Welcome Lyn.

The Rummikub has certainly grown in popularity. It is only scary for a week or two, and then the penny drops, the brain engages, and before you know it the grey matter is back in action. I encourage you all to try it. I will bring the Panadol for the first two weeks. Give it a go.

The quiz was a hoot and got you thinking. Please remember you are not allowed to Google the answers! Hahaha. And by the way Leanne, that book was WRONG! I can’t remember the question, but it was wrong. These quizzes certainly promote some interesting discussions.

Now raffles. Joan and Sean are going shopping with their $20 vouchers, and David won the plonk again! I can’t understand why he didn’t take the chocolates…hic!

It was another fun day, and if you want to be a part of it please ring Leanne 0413 101 518.
