In July 2017, Elaine decided to trial a small homewares shop in the then empty premises which now houses the “inside area” of The Shop. 

The plan was to offer her customers décor and homeware items from around the world that weren’t available in Grafton at the time.  After running her 2 shops in Brisbane for 15 years, she had many great contacts for unique and quality items.

The idea proved successful, and within 12 months The Shop had expanded to an outdoor area housing garden pots and décor items for the garden and patio.  Another six months later and the warehouse was built, which now offered the space for quality cast iron furniture, Turkish rugs and mats, and an even wider range of pots and décor items.

The Shop had become the ‘go to’ place in the valley (and beyond!) for gifts, artwork, homewares, garden décor and much more.  Many a husband has thanked Elaine profusely for making their life easier at gift time!!

Now, after 6 years, Elaine has made the decision to retire.  Her wish is that someone will continue with this ‘little gem on the South Side’ and love it as much as she has….

As a result, this fabulous business in now for sale, and Elaine sees great potential for a creative new owner to take this business into the future …
