Clarence Valley Council Mayor Ian Tiley said robust committees were critical to enhancing the decision-making of the Council.
“It’s important that committee members are representative of community and community view, as they will be contributing valuably to important discussions on topics that matter to our region,” Cr Tiley said.
“This ensures community-informed decision making by the council.”
All committees will operate for the current term of Council.
Candidates for each need to demonstrate experience and expertise in the committee area; a commitment to consultative process; an ability to develop and sustain contacts with key individuals and groups in the local community, and the ability to effectively listen to and cooperate with community members holding similar or different points of view.

Nominations are open until 4pm Friday, 25 March.
