The Grafton Jacaranda Festival is thrilled to announce that Sam McClymont, talented singer songwriter and TV presenter formally of Grafton will return be the guest of honour and be the co master of ceremonies at the Jacaranda Queen crowning on Saturday October 26.
On top of this special feature of our 85th Anniversary festival is the announcement that The McClymonts will perform a concert as an official Grafton Jacaranda event on Jacaranda Thursday night, October 31 at the Saraton Theatre.
They will be joined by the 2019 Toyota Star Maker winner, Blake O’Connor as the support act on the night.
Sam was crowned Grafton Jacaranda Queen in 2004 and it is a pleasure to welcome her back to the crowning stage as a special guest of this iconic event, during the 85th anniversary festival.
Since releasing their debut EP in 2006, The McClymonts have established themselves as Australia’s most successful country group of all time, receiving thirteen Golden Guitar awards, two ARIA awards and an APRA award to date as well as selling over a quarter of a million albums.
This special show, entitled “One Acoustic Night” will feature performances of hit songs across their five album catalogue in an acoustic setting, highlighting the incredible sibling harmonies of Brooke, Sam & Mollie.
Sam commented, “It’s an honour to be invited to be part of the 85th Anniversary celebrations of the iconic Jacaranda Festival. It’s been three years since we last got to play a show in our hometown and we can’t wait to get back there to see our family and friends and perform some of our old songs and a few new songs as well.”
Tickets for the concert will go on sale via the Saraton Theatre, this Friday February 15. The ticket prices are: Adults
$45, Pensioner/Concession 40, Child under 16 $35.
