Maclean Vets golf AGM coming up

Our Vets golf just keeps going from strength to strength with a record field of 64 golfers hitting off last Monday, September 13 in the single Stableford and monthly medal. We welcomed a number of visitors who seemed to enjoy the day and the golf course.

The winner was Sonia Bonaccorsi who came in with a brilliant 40 points to take home the $40 voucher, as well as the Cutter and Buck, engraved pen. Well done Sonia and I’m sure the handicapper will pay you a visit after that round. Runner up was Dennis Runge with 39 points and in 3rd place was Pat Harris with 38.

Ball winners were Helen McFarlane and Ray Anderson with 37, Wayne Rae -36, Dave Bryden, Mark Hemmy, Chris Forrester, Des Plunkett, Terry Mitchell and Lance Pedrana all with 35 points, Kim Wiblen, Geoff Dickinson, Bill Rorke and Roger Penwarden with 34s and finally Glen Crooks as the lone player to come in with 33 points.

We will be having our AGM in early October or as soon as it is practically possible to hold it in lieu of Covid restrictions, so have a think about it. You may wish to stand for the committee.

Also, the Vets committee has decided to give $6000 to the club to help with the re-modelling of the 1st tee which is going to occur in the near future.
