Maclean CWA Christmas fair

CWA Maclean Branch’s November meeting was held recently and was our first night-time meeting.

We have had a number of enquiries from working women who wish to explore what CWA is all about but are unable to attend our usual day time meetings. The response has been encouraging.

The meeting was attended by three generations of two local families. It was decided that a fortnightly social get together would be held on a Tuesday evening. The format will be flexible and worked out to suit the participants. Please see our CWA Maclean Facebook page for more details.

The next meeting of our Branch will be held at our rooms at 40 River Street at 9.30 on Wednesday December 9.

We are also running a Christmas Fair at our rooms on December 12 from 8am. Take away scones, jam and cream, along with handicrafts, plants, cakes and Christmas cooking and more are available.

Our Wednesday morning Craft Group has also seen an increase in people popping in to have a cuppa and join in the fun. Bring your own project or work on one of the group’s projects.

We have recently purchased two sewing machines if you do not have your own. We have knitters and crochet specialists, card makers and if you have a speciality come show us.

COVID restrictions are observed.
