Lions Club Clarence Environmental steps up to ensure Maclean Markets continue

The Lions Club Clarence Environmental group has stepped in to ensure that the Maclean Monthly Community Markets continue.

The Maclean Lions Club recently stepped down from organising the markets. “The Lions Club Clarence Environment was keen to keep the markets going and have agreed to operate the markets for the present time”, said President Barbara Linley.

She added that, “We look forward to having a regular presence in Maclean, for our Clubs activities, and to keeping these important community markets going”.

Club member Prue Leggoe said that “We welcome existing stall holders to continue and are reaching out to new stall holders to come and support the Maclean/Townsend and Gulmarrad communities to have their own great market. As Christmas nears, we aim to rebuild new interest and encourage new stall holders. We have a new food van, which will provide delicious street food, coming along on Saturday the 9”, she said.

Anyone interested in joining the market should contact Prue on 0434 224 988.
