Lesley had a blinder

The 19 pairs in Yamba’s Wednesday’s Qualifying Round in the 2023 2BBB v Par Knockout encountered very windy conditions. At times, it was difficult to stand against its force on some holes.

The eight successful pairs which were selected to play in Round 1 last Friday included: Leigh Robertson/Carrie Aitken v Janette Blair/Fay Gimenez; Kathy Parker/Julie Campbell v Ann Groom/Jane Bonner; Glen Czarnota/Judy Palich v Sue Scott/Margaret Solomon and Di Sigle/Joan Berry v Vicki Davies/Lisa Marsh.

All of Friday’s matches were incredibly tight but the four successful teams through to Round 2 to be held on June 2, will be Sue and Margaret playing against Kathy and Julie. Vicki and Lisa will play off against Janette and Fay. The successful partnerships will play in the final on Friday, June 9. Good luck to everyone!
There were some fantastic scores in Wednesday’s Daily Event, none more so than those of Kathy Parker and Julie Campbell (+7) and Jenny Moody and Jane Anderson (+5) who were the day’s winners and runners up. Considering the difficult conditions, these were wonderful scores.
