After two years absence due to COVID, the Annual Exhibition is returning to the Maclean Showground on Saturday and Sunday October 2-3.
LCACA are now calling for entries in the 54th Open Art, Jewellery, Woodwork and Patchwork/Quilting Exhibition, with over $10,000 worth of prizes.
Categories
Fine Art:
(open) 1st – $2,000; 2nd – $700; 3rd – $400, also includes a $600 prize for an indigenous artwork.
Fine Art 2:
(LCACA members only) 1st – $600; 2nd – $250; 3rd – $150.
Junior Art:
(14-17 years prizes) 1st – $100; 2nd – $70; 3rd – $40.
(8-13 years) 1st – $60; 2nd – $30; 3rd – $15.
(3-7 years) 1st – $40; 2nd – $20; 3rd – $10.
Jewellery:
(open) 1st – $500; 2nd – $250; 3rd – $125.
The Jewellery challenge this year is to be created from re-cycled or found objects with 1st – $100; 2nd – $75; 3rd – $50. Each prize also includes a $50 gift voucher from Australian Jewellers Supplies.
Woodwork:
$400 for best overall and 2 sections: Turned; and Carved, Sculpted or Joined with 1st $150, 2nd $25 for each section.
Patchwork and Quilting:
Have 12 sections, ranging from traditional, contemporary, art, novice and youth quilt with $3,445 in cash prizes. These include 2 x 1st prizes of $500 and Best of Show $300 and 30 other prizes.
Entry Forms can be picked up at Ferry Park Gallery, Maclean or downloaded from the website. Entries close Friday September 10 at 4pm.

LCACA opened Ferry Park Gallery in 1993 for members to display and sell their work. LCACA welcome new members to join us as an exhibitor or volunteer to work in our gallery.
