Lawrence golf

A mixed bag of weather greeted the players last weekend.

Saturday ladies was a Stroke event won by Liza Sharpe on a countback from Janet Lewis both carding (nett 42).

NTP was Bev Ensbey with Liza Sharpe only requiring 11 putts to take out the least putts prize.

There were some serious approach shots with Liza Sharpe chipping in on the 2nd and not to be outdone was Molly Plunkett on both the 6th and the 9th both for par.

Sunday men’s event was also a Stroke event and doubled up for the monthly medal which was sponsored by Yamba Fair Butchery.

The 9-hole winner was Barry Burgess (nett 32) holding out Trevor Simpson by one stroke.

18-hole winner was Theo Sheppard (nett 69) defeating James Welsh (nett 72).

NTP was Kerry Cook and least putts by Trevor Simpson (14).

Club balls to Shane Rose and Barry Moore.

Wednesday’s chook run was taken out by Terry Mitchell (nett 28) defeating Bill Woodham (nett 34).

Peter Jones was NTP and least putts was Colin Want (14)

Next week – Stroke novelty event, (2 clubs and a putter) sponsored by Kath and Ken Trim.

Should be fun.
