July club run to Wooli

On Sunday July 18, the Grafton Vintage Motor Vehicle Club gathered for the July Club Run to Wooli Pub via Ulmarra.

Twenty-eight club members rallied at Jabour Park South Grafton in glorious winter sunshine. We headed straight for Ulmarra down Big River Way to Coffee and Flowers Café and Bakery. The SES car park was utilised for overflow parking as the street parking spots filled. Another four members caught up with us here. We all really enjoyed the home cakes, a tea or coffee. Some of us even went for the tasty sausage rolls and bought pies to take home for dinner.

Our next stop was the hotel/motel at Wooli after a leisurely drive through the back blocks of Tucabia. Suitably Covid masked and spaced, we enjoyed more great food and even better company.

Next month, Sunday August 22, is our annual Motorfest (Jabour Park via Minden Street South Grafton) with a featured marque this year of VW’s. There will be Covid safety plans in place. As well as vintage cars, trucks and motorbikes on display, we have also lined up a photographic display by Tania Daniels and a bonsai exhibition.

There will be market stalls and entertainment throughout the day. A days’ entertainment for all the family for a gold coin donation. For cars wishing to enter the display there is a $5 entry fee.
