On Saturday we held our final event, the Club Mixed Fours. And as was the case in all our mixed events this year, it was a very close finish.

Phil and his team got away to an early lead of nine to one after five ends. But Doug’s team, on a very windy afternoon, fought back to be 11 all after the 13th end. They went shot for shot up until the last two ends, and the winning side got a couple of shots to win the game.

Winners of the Mixed Fours: E. Boyter, M. Gosper, K. Mogler and P. Wrice just got off the top of J. Blaxter, K. Becker, M. Connell & D. Burnes 22-18. It was a very entertaining final. A shout out to substitute Janice Blaxter who led well under the conditions.
