Winners – G. Donsworth & K. Montague; runners up – B. Caldwell & G. Wyatt; Margin – J. Mitchell, W. Burnes, I. McCausland.

Friday September 17

Winners – B. Caldwell, R. Pye, M. Connell; runners up – I. Weir, J. Ditton & B. Stewart. 

Over the weekend we held the semi finals of the Mixed Pairs. The crowd and players experienced the pressure of finals footy!

On the 20th end, Rink 9 – Carol & Bruce Caldwell against Jeff Minter & Leigh Bowers were at 20 all with one end to play.

On Rink 11 – Kim Mogler & Phil Wrice on the 20th end were one shot ahead of Doug Burnes & Lyn Briggs. At full time on Rink 11 it was 21 all with skip Doug moving the kitty on his last bowl to end the game on a draw. An extra end was played and when the dust settled Phil & Kim advanced to the final with a one shot margin.

On Rink 9 – on Leigh’s last bowl, she played a tremendous shot that moved the kitty but went to the opposition’s bowls losing a very close game.

The final will be played this Saturday, September 25 with Bruce & Carol Caldwell against Kim & Phil with a 12.30pm start. Should be a good one.
