Iluka Golf Club held its annual Golfers V Cricketers event on Sunday 29 when 47 keen cricketers & golfers hit off in the 3-person Ambrose.

This event has been going for 40 years now. Scores after all that time are quite close, with Golfers winning 18 and Cricketers 22 of the 40 years.

Every year Gordon Farrell organises this event and does a great job of making sure things run smoothly on the day.

This year’s sponsors were A. Farrell, G.Farrell & C.K.Kempshall.

Each player nominates before the start of play, which team they support. Cricket team winners were P. Duncombe, Z. Newton, J. Mutton, T. Mutton. Golf winning team were S. Lokan, S. Mayoh, Trav, Nigel. Total team scores Cricket (379), with Golf (373). A huge shout out to all who took part volunteered or sponsored. Every year this event is one we look forward too.
