Motor vehicle accident north Grafton
On Saturday January 5, the Lismore Westpac Life Saver Rescue Helicopter was called to a two car motor vehicle accident on Summerland Way at Warrangi Creek, north of Grafton. A second helicopter was on route from Tamworth (to assist) but was called back on route.
The helicopters clinical team treated a female in a serious condition. She was flown to Gold Coast University Hospital.
Callout to rodeo
Around 8.30pm on Saturday December 29 the helicopter was tasked to the rodeo at Maclean after it was reported a bull rider came of a bull and was knocked unconscious. The helicopter was called off in transit and returned to base.
Fall from a tree
Around 5.45pm on Christmas Day the helicopter was tasked to Copmanhurst to attend a person who had fallen from a tree. Paramedics and the helicopters clinical team treated a 28 year old male who fell 30 feet from the tree; he was reported to be in a stable condition (at the time) and suffered shoulder and chest injuries and was flown to Lismore Base Hospital.
